The DL 2000 is an ultra-compact (26x35x7cm), light weight (3.7 kg) instant-on, no flicker, flourescent light therapy lamp. It is used for the treatment of Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), winter blues, fatigue, and sleep disturbance associated with shift work, aging and jet lag. It comes with a UV filter diffusing lens, has two light settings (10,000 and 5,000 lux at 30 cm), and has a desktop stand that can be adjusted to three height settings: 69, 67 or 64 cm. In addition to its treatment applications, the DL 2000 makes an exceptional task or reading lamp, and provides pleasant ambient lighting. Suggested SAD treatment exposure times: 15 to 60 minutes every morning. It's advantage over the DL 930 is its ability to fit seamlessly into an office setting as a desk lamp.
